2008-2009 ski and snowboard season is just around the corner! Typically, Snow Summit and Bear Mountain open late November. We will begin snow making operations as soon as the weather remains cold and dry. Our expected open date will be announced when we begin snow making. We’re looking forward to Real Snow, Real Close!

Mountain High traditionally opens in mid November but it all depends on the weather. Our huge snow making system is ready to go so it won’t be long.

Snow Valley received almost perfect scores in the family-friendly category. ”Snow Valley has good beginner runs and low intermediate runs, and probably the best resort in Southern California to learn at… It has an excellent terrain park and a fair number of expert runs which should appeal to advanced skiers or snowboarders. The terrain park is great for beginners and advanced riders. It’s a great place to take the kids… Snow Valley is the friendliest of the local resorts.” Snow Valley is the closest ski area to the valley floor, just five miles east of Running Springs on Highway 18. The ski area has 13 lifts and 240 acres of terrain.
Although Snow Valley has primarily been known as a day use/regional resort, the surrounding communities including Running Springs, Lake Arrowhead, Crestline offer a variety of lodging options from cabin rentals, to motels, to luxury hotels.
